Chernoff broke the Canadian senior record in the 100-metre butterfly in a qualifying race at the Canadian summer championships in Montreal and won a silver medal in the final. She won the national title in the 50 fly.

At the Canada Summer Games in Prince Edward Island, Chernoff won gold in the 100 and 200 butterfly and one silver.

She is now in her frosh season at Texas A&M University.
