June 6, 2026

The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is gearing up to make waves at the 2026 Saskatchewan Summer Junior Provincial Championships, held from June 12 to 14 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. As they prepare to "Peach for the Stars," the Goldfins are sending an impressive contingent of 71 swimmers, ranging from 7 to 18 years old, to compete against ten other swim teams in this prestigious event.

Ted Murphy, the Goldfins’ Junior Provincial Championships Lead Coach, expresses his enthusiasm about the upcoming meet. “Our Goldfins swimmers have been putting in serious work in the pool and are fully prepared for the June 12th–14th meet!” he stated. Murphy emphasized the advantage of competing at their home pool, which provides a comfortable and familiar environment for the athletes to perform at their best. “Winners and qualifying swimmers will secure their spots to advance to the Championships. We're ready, we're pumped, and we're looking forward to an incredible meet!"

This year, the Goldfins are poised to defend their long-standing record of winning the Large Club Award at the Junior Provincial Championship Meet. The team has registered for an impressive 554 individual events and 30 relays, demonstrating their commitment and competitive spirit.
