Saskatoon Goldfins Swimmers Take on the 2025 Jeux du Canada Games in Newfoundland
Saskatoon Goldfins to Represent Saskatchewan at the 2025 Jeux du Canada Games
The upcoming 2025 Jeux du Canada Games in St. John’s, Newfoundland, promises to be a showcase of athletic prowess and dedication, with the Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club proudly representing the Province of Saskatchewan. Set to compete from August 10 to 15, the swimming events will feature 30 athletes from Saskatchewan, including ten standout swimmers from the Goldfins Swim Club.
These athletes—Nicole Godbout, Avery Houle, Piper Lejbak, Mariah Weber, Noah Findlay, Foster Fourney, Scott Heinbigner, Oliver Genest, Landon Kennedy, and Kian Wu—will take to the water under the guidance of Assistant Coach Gary Cheung, Team Manager Jennifer Robinson and Mission Staff Heather Hynes. The team also includes alternates Kasey Biberdorf and James DeLathouwer, ready to step in as needed. Preparation has been integral to the team's journey, with a staging camp held from July 18 to 20 in Regina, SK, honing their skills and fostering team unity. The anticipation culminates in the Opening Ceremonies on August 9, 2025, at 7:00 PM NST, setting the stage for the first swimming events commencing on August 10.
