Saskatoon Swim Club Hosts a Memorable 2026 Winter Whiteout Swim Meet

The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club celebrated a series of outstanding achievements as they hosted the 2026 Goldfins Winter Whiteout swim meet from February 6th to 8th at the Shaw Centre in Saskatoon, SK. This event marked a historic occasion for the club, highlighting the exceptional talents of young swimmers An and Abigail, who both set new provincial records.
An made a remarkable impact by breaking the Girls 10 & Under Provincial Record in the 100M Breaststroke. Her time of 1:25.69 not only surpassed the previous record of 1:27.85, held since 1976 by Bronwyn Beatty, but also improved upon her own Goldfins Club record of 1:29.51. This accomplishment underscores An's dedication and progression in the sport.

Similarly, Abigail distinguished herself by setting a new Girls 11-12 Long Course Provincial Record with a time of 36.21 seconds in the 50M Breaststroke. This achievement eclipsed the previous record of 36.41 seconds, set by Cadence Johns in 2017. Abigail's performance also saw her shatter the Goldfins club record, showcasing her impressive growth and skill.
The meet was not only a platform for record-breaking performances but also saw the Goldfins posting 121 new qualifying time standards. Notably, Carson Sereda-Wosminity achieved a significant milestone by qualifying for the Best of the West Fest Long Course with a 50M Freestyle time of 25.18 seconds. This accomplishment has secured him a spot at the upcoming Western Canadian competition in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
